Adeline – The Perfect Twirl-worthy, Summer Dress/Romper by M4M

Made for Mermaids recently released the perfect dress pattern for ladies and the most adorable romper for babies.  Mama Adeline, Adeline (for girls), and Baby Adeline.  I had the pleasure of testing the Mama and Baby versions and I’m smitten.

The ladies version has a mini, dress, and maxi length. I made a straight size blue and I chose the dress length.  I adjusted the bodice for my height and didn’t add any length to the skirt. There is also an option for short sleeves, and long bishop sleeves which are adorable.  I also chose the keyhole back but there is a scoop back or normal back.  I also love how the neck and keyhole are finished with binding. I used to HATE binding but now that I have a coverstitch I think it’s my favorite way to finish edges. It looks more professional and clean!IMG_0775edit

This adorable romper was made using a woven bottom! You do have the choice to use knit for the bottom too.  The knit fabric I chose is a very stable cotton lycra with great stretch and recovery.  I love a dress pattern that accommodates several different types of knits.  A lot of testers used double brushed poly and those looked great as well. Their skirts looked a little more flowy than mine.  But I do love how the cotton lycra works for this!IMG_1102edit

And did you see, did you see!?  It has pockets!! You can do inseam or slat, which is what I chose.

I know this will be a summer staple!IMG_0780editIMG_0779edit
