Dipping more into Wovens with the Aurora Tunic Blouse

The Wardrobe by MeAurora Tunic Blouse was my first dive into the world of woven blouses.  I’m a knit lover! Collar stands, yokes, and huh? I was so excited Christina let me test this pattern though because I love the look of it and I learned soooooo much.

Something awesome about this pattern is that it has a ton of options. Dress, Blouse, Short or long sleeves, tie band collar, tie waist, ruffle hem, curved hem…think of all the possible combinations!

I am thrilled with the final product.  I’m not going to lie – it took me a while to get there.  But the instructions were clear and anytime I had a question Christina was so helpful!

I love the feminine look of it.  I used this silky peachskin from JoAnn’s and it feels great on. You definitely want to use something drapey – no quilting cotton.

I’m going to have to add more of these to my wardrobe because they are perfect for work, yet still comfortable and stylish.  I made a size 6 bust graded to a 4 hips and waist and the fit is perfect. I also added about an inch in length using the lengthen shorten lines.  Please note, the sleeves are shorter here than they are now. She has lengthened them since testing. But I am loving the 3/4 length look!
